For all of my massage career, draping was optional. Many of my clients preferred to get their massages in the nude without a cover sheet. There are a lot of people who enjoy going nude and not having to deal with a cover sheet. Alas, the State of Texas has declared that all massages must include draping now. Therefore, I must abide by the laws of the State of Texas and require draping for all my massages.
I think the human body has dignity and there is no shame in nudity. This new rule is extremely conservative, uptight and Puritanical (given the common definition of that word. It turns out Puritans didn’t really deserve their prudish reputation). I am very disappointed that the State of Texas apparently does not trust its citizens to be adults. Nevertheless, I can still give a Grade A massage even with draping so it’s not a total loss. Cheers.
